It was fun and straightforward, but now it is more complicated and commercialized, it somehow became a new instant messenger currency. To buy stickers, LINE will automatically exchange LINE Points into the equal sum of LINE's native Coins.

LINE Points will expire. Standard Points expire in 180 days, while other points expire diversely, just look at your points history and there will be info "Valid till -".

Earn

You earn points by carrying out some works such as downloading apps, reach a certain level in a game, using or buying products, opening a bank account, etc.
Use

Exchange it with stickers or themes (LINE will automatically exchange points into coins), mobile data credits, mart voucher, and game voucher.

LINE Points can only be used in one region. If the area you select does not match your device's region info, you may not be able to accumulate Points. In such a case, change your region to enable the accumulation of Points. Once you alter your zone, it cannot be changed again for 30 days. There is also no undo/revert settings button.

QR code reader

You can use it to scan QR code with your phone's camera, Bluetooth, or ultrasound.

As I remembered, LINE was competing closely with KakaoTalk with both of them aired TV commercial featuring Korean artist when k-pop was booming at times. However, this extra from LINE such as stickers succeed in captivating Indonesian young 'uns that have already familiar with comics & cartoons entertainment and further live up the rapid chatter in-between. LINE has quite triumphed in Indonesia.
